A dust storm is expected to hit Kuwait in the coming hours lowering visibility and increasing temperature as active north westerly winds will blow up, the Kuwait Meteorological Center's head warned on Wednesday.

The visibility will lower to less than 1000 meter due to the north westerly winds, the director of Kuwait Meteorological Center, Mohammad Karam said.
The weather is forecast to be partly cloudy with moderate to fresh south easterly changing to north westerly wind, with speed of 20-45 km/h causing raising dust with a chance for light scattered rain.

In a press statement, the Interior Ministry’s Security Media Department called on all people to take required measures for the safety of their families, instructing them to abide by speed limits. It advised people to fasten seatbelts while driving in low-visibility conditions.
