Lu&Lu Hypermarket inaugurates Food Fest 2015, a gastronomic extravaganza

Lu&Lu Hypermarket,the leading retailer in Kuwait, launched its Food Fest 2015in style with an inauguration ceremony on Thursday, 26 March at its Al Rai outlet. The festival, which will run until 4 April, was inaugurated by renowned chef Harpal Singh Sokhi.

Customers of Lu&Lu Hypermarket gathered around Chef Sokhi and the Lu&Lu management to watch them start thefestival’s fun activitieswith the cutting of the longest cake, which measured 80meters and was created in association with Hershey’s.

Continuing the spirit of the Food Fest, the longest pasta, measuring 101 meters and created in association with Pizza Inn, was unveiled on 27 and 28 March. Other food records being set during the 10-day long festival includes the longest kunafa at 25 meters; the biggest flower made of muffins, the biggest doughnut, the longest Swiss roll at 25 meters, and the biggest fatayer.

The festival, which is being held at all Lu&Lu outlets in Kuwait, is designed to celebrate the Hypermarket’s diverse range of food itemsand allows visitors and customers to enjoy various culinary delights, as well as experience many food-filled activities.

Severalthrilling competitions, such as Mr. Chef, Junior Chef, Chit Chat Show, Wow the Master Chef, Taste and Win, Cookery Contests, Carving Competitions and otherinteractive activities, are being held on the side-lines of Food Fest 2015. There is also the chance to get those vexing culinary questions answered at the live-cooking demonstrations beingheld by talented chefs at different outlets.

Food, creativity and shopping come together in spectacular fashion at the Lu&Lu Hypermarket Food Fest 2015.
