261 arrested; 2,335 vehicles impounded in security check

During a security campaign organized by the Security Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in all the Governorates of Kuwait, police have arrested 65 people for not carrying ID, 69 for possessing alcohol and drugs, 127 wanted by law in connection with various cases and seized 33 vehicles wanted by law.

The General Traffic Department (GTD) during a series of security checks throughout the week issued 35,208 citations, impounded 2,335 vehicles, 17 motorcycles and 23 vehicles wanted by law. This is in addition to arresting 49 motorists who were involved in reckless driving and causing traffic accidents during which 178 people were injured and one died.
