One thousand thefts have been committed in Kuwait to date in 2015, which is equivalent to 13 crimes per day, reports Al-Qabas daily. Most of the crimes were registered against unknown thieves who are still at large.

According to report, the theft of vehicles takes the first position, followed by theft of money and cell phones from car break-ins and breaking into shops and homes comes in third place.

Majority of those who have been arrested in this connection are drug addicts, unemployed persons and ex-convicts and residence and labor laws violators. The report also says that the victims encourage thieves because of their negligence - some leave their cars with engine running and others by leaving valuables in their cars.
