Traffic department to work on Saturdays for car passing service

Traffic department announced that the technical examination section in Capital city and Farwaniya governorates will start functioning in Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. This decision is taken based on the instruction by Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister to reduce the overcrowding at the technical inspection departments during the week days.

With this decision, residents can do their renewal of the car registration and car passing on Saturday morning also at these governorates. This will help the residents who find it difficult to do their car passing on work days due to work commitment.

This decision is taken on an experimental basis and if found successful, it will be implemented in other governorates also, Al Rai Arabic newspaper reported.
