1,242 accidents registered in the country last week

A recent statistic released by the Public Security Sector of Ministry of Interior Ministry indicates that 1,242 accidents took place in the country last week, ie from January 17th to January 23rd. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, securitymen issued citations against 147 individuals who parked their vehicles in parking spots allotted for the disabled.

The statistics also reveals that a total of 6,424 individuals were detained for deportation at various police stations across the country.

About 34 expatriates were arrested for criminal offenses while 107 committed civil offenses, 180 were reported as absconding, 467 violated the residency law, 612 were unable to prove their status, 53 were caught in possession of wanted vehicles, 37 for drug related cases and 17 people were detained for liquor cases.

The officers received 867 reports from various security commands and 1,709 reports through emergency lines. They issued about 1620 citations for miscellaneous violations, seized 174 vehicles and arrested 923 people for destitution and 225 others at security checkpoints.
