ICSK Junior Holds Special Award Ceremony for Winners Of Art Fest 2014

The Indian Community School Kuwait, Junior Salmiya held an awards ceremony for the winners of Arts Fest-2014 on Monday, 12th January, 2015. Hon. Secretary to the school board of trustees Mr. Vijay Karayil was the chief guest for the ceremony, Hon. Member to Board and President of the Arts Fest Mr. Sherin Mani was the Guest of honor. Joint Secretary Mr. George Mathew, PAC members Mr. Manoj Mathew, Mr. Girish Murali and Mr. Reji K Jacob were present for the award ceremony to honor and bless the winners. Parents of the winners were invited to be an integral part of the ceremony.

Principal in charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis, in her opening address, welcomed the guests with praise and warmth. She further acknowledged the credentials of all the winners; rising to height of glory with their inherent talents and acknowledged the fine exposure given to students by the management to showcase their expertise in the field of art and aesthetic culture.

Mrs. Anita Handa, coordinator of the Arts Fest, in her address, gave a crisp description of the maiden venture adding that ICSK JUNIOR leaves no stone unturned to launch versatile geniuses in molding students of integrity and confidence.

Chief Guest Hon. Secretary to the School Board of Trustees Mr. Vijay Karayil, in his address, congratulated all the participants, truly appreciated the relentless effort of the staff in innovative and unique activities of the school thus making ICSK an institution with an exception.

Guest of Honor Mr. Sherin Mani, Hon. Member to the Board of Trustees President of the Art Fest, in his address, made the students understand the importance of participation and excelling in all school related activities and said that it was an integral part of CBSE course study.

Adding color to the ceremony was presentation of one solo dance, recitation in Hindi and a cinematic dance each from the three categories who won in the competitions.

The Prize distribution was demarcated to perfection, giving an opportunity to all winners to come up on stage individually to collect their certificates with immense pride and glory.

Ms. Shafika Yunus, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks. The function was anchored by Ms. Shanti Krishna under the able guidance of Vice Principal Mrs. Gomathy Murthy. The ceremony came to a close with the singing of the Indian National Anthem.
