O.I.C.C Kannur District committee conducted C.M. Stephen Remembrance meet

The thirty second death anniversary of the erst while congress leader Mr. C.M.Stephen was commemorated by Kuwait O.I.C.C Kannur District Committee. The meeting which started with a silent prayer in remembrance of the late leader was inaugurated by Kuwait O.I.C.C National Committee President Mr. Varghese Puthukulangara. In his inaugural address, Mr. Varghese puthukulangara described the demise of the great leader had created an unfillable void in the Indian National Congress. He also reiterated that Mr.C.M.Stephan belonged to the category of very few Keralites who had the highest qualities of a great parliamentarian and excellent leader. In the meeting which was presided over by O.I.C.C Kannur district president Adv. Biju Chacko Kelakam, felicitations were delivered by National General Secretary Mr.Binu Chembalayam, National Treasurer Mr. Rajeev Naduvilemury, National Secretary Mr. Anuroop Kannur, District Treasurer Mr. Jomett Joseph and Divisional convenerors Mr.Anil Sebastian, Mr.Sukumar Kottayi, Mr. Issahaq and Mrs.Surya Dhaneesh. General Secretary Shanu Thalassery delivered the welcome speech and Mr.Vinod Mattummel delivered the vote of thanks.

In the Kannur district general body which followed the meeting, the need to successfully convene the District convention which will be attended by Mr. K.Sudharakaran on the 20th of February was reiterated by the members. Representatives from various parts of Kuwait attended the meeting.
