Students India – Grand Hyper under 17 Football: Rage F.C. crowned champions

Rage F.C. has been crowned champions in the Students India – Grand Hyper under 17 football tournament, held at the Public Authority for Youth and Sports Stadium at Mishref. In a thrilling Final, they beat SEPT Kuwait F.C. 2-1 in penalties, after both teams were locked at 1-1 after regular time and extra time. Earlier in the Semi-Finals, Rage F.C. overcame B.F.C. in penalties while SEPT Kuwait defeated Arkanes F.C. by 2 goals.

A total of 14 teams participated in the tournament, which was held in association with Youth India. The winners Rage F.C. were presented the trophy and cash award by the regional director of Grand Hyper, Mr. Ayoob Kechery. Youth India president Mr. Rafeeq Babu presented the runners-up with their awards.

Ibrahim of Rising Star Club was the top scorer in the tournament while Karthik of B.F.C was selected as the best Goal keeper. Akheel Abdu Rahman of SEPT Kuwait was awarded man of the match in the final. KEFAK president Mr. Abdulla Qadiri, Faisal Winners, Abdul Razaq Nadvi and Najeeb V.S. presented the individual honors. The matches were controlled by Mr. Shaji, Mr. Mansoor, Mr. Muneer, Mr. Rabeesh, Mrr. Ibrahim and Mr. Navas.

Earlier, Students India president Basil Habeeb presided over the inaugural session. Vice president Mishal delivered the welcome address. General Secretary of Youth India Mr. Shafi P.T., Vice President Nisar K Rasheed, Sports Convever Noufal M.M., Treasurer Shahid C.P.,and Mr. Sajid A.C. met with the participating athletes.
