Kozhikode District NRI Association Demands RCC in Kozhikkode

The studies made among the cancer patients in the near future reveals about the fast growing cancer patients from Malabar Area and require a comprehensive cancer center to cater the people in and around Kozhikode. This center should be internationally recognized to conduct wide range of researchs and should provide facilities for cancer diagnosis, treatment, palliation, rehabilitation and should undertake basic translational, research and disseminate the knowledge. This will help to carry out innovation, pioneering cancer control treatment, research and training.
The Executive committee of KDNA has requested the central Government & State Government to execute this in Kozhikode as delayed treatment often has a disastrous consequences and the caseload in hospitals often causes tremendous physical, mental & financial strain.
At present the cancer patients hailing from Kozhikode, Wynad, Kannur, Kasargode, Malappuram, and Palakkad have to depend Trivandrum Regional Cancer Center and always getting treatment at a place near to home is a blessing for the poor and marginalized patients. KDNA has decided to submit a memorandum during its central executive meeting to the Prime Minister, Kerala Chief Minister, and Health Ministers of the Central & State.
KDNA President Azeez Thikkodi presided over the meeting and the General Secretary Sathyan Varoonda convened the meeting followed by the vote of Thanks by Treasurer Zaheel Alakkal
