MoI warns of ATM hacking

In an official letter signed by Ministry Of Interior Undersecretary Lt Gen Suleiman Al-Fahd, the ministry warned the Kuwaiti Banks Union against professional ATM hackers. The letter titled as ‘The Purple Directive’ said that the ministry had received a notice issued by the Interpol upon a request of its central national bureau in Malaysia warning of professional hacking and withdrawal of money from ATMs, and accordingly the ministry warned local banks to take the needed security measures
