Move to increase visa transfer and renewal fee to KD 100

Kuwait may increase the fees collected from expatriate workers for issuing or renewing work visas. At Present, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor charges KD 12 for issuing new visa and to transfer a visit visa to a work visa, while the fee for renewing a work visa is KD 2. The Manpower Public Authority is currently studying the possibility of increasing the fees on par with rates in other Gulf countries where fees for similar transactions are around KD 100, General Director Jamal Al-Dousary said in a recent statement.

If the new proposal is in place, the fee for new visa, Visa renewal and visa transfer will be KD 100
