Kozhikode District Association Mahilavedi Organized Free Medical Check-up Campaign

Kozhikode District Association Mahilavedi conducted Free Medical Check-up Campaign and which literally transformed Indian Central School, Abbasiya into a Super Specialty Hospital on 12th December 2014. This epoch making event, organized in association with the Indian Doctors Forum and the Kuwait Heart Foundation was utilized by more than five hundred people, most of which are among under privileged category. The services from around forty specialized faculty of IDF from various departments such as General Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, ENT, Radiology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Oncology, Dermatology, Dental and Physiotherapy made the campaign most useful.
The medical campaign was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Sunil Jain, the Ambassador of India to Kuwait. Mahilavedi President Mrs. Biji Ramakrishnan presided over by the inaugural function. IDF President Dr. Vinod Grover, General Secretary Dr. Jaffer Ismail Ali and Association President Mr. Haneef.C spoke on the occasion. In appreciation of the services provided to the camp Mementos were presented to all organization’s representatives by IDF Coordinator Dr. Sunil Yadav, Association General Secretary Mr. Shyjith.K, Treasurer Mr. Najeeb P.V and Mahilavedi Secretary Mrs. Mymoona Aydeed. General Convener Mrs. Reeja Santhosh delivered welcome speech and Mahilavedi Treasurer Ms. Rekha.T expressed Vote of thanks.
Cholesterol check-Up by Kuwait Heart Foundation, Blood Sugar Test by Roche Diabetes, Vision Test by Leena George & Team and ECG were other attractions. Around fifty paramedical staff also rendered their free service for the smooth functioning of the campaign. The organizers were congratulated by H/E the Ambassador, for conducting such socially beneficial activities, during his camp visit accompanied by IDF President Dr. Vinod Grover, Dr. Amir, Central School Principal Mrs. Santha Maria, Association Patrons Mr. Shabir Mandoli, Mr. Ashraf Aydeed, Mr. E.Rajagopalan and office bearers of the Association and Mahilavedi. Balavedi members also have played a key role in the Medical Camp.
