Microsoft Announces Two Innovative Educators from Kuwait for 2014-2015

Sarah Alameer from the Naela Middle School for Girls and Ahmad Ashour from Ibn El Almeed Secondary School join an exclusive global community of 800 educators
Microsoft Kuwait has announced that Sarah Alameer, from the Naela Middle School for Girls, and Ahmad Ashour, from Ibn El Almeed Secondary School, have been selected as Microsoft Innovative Educators for 2014-2015 for their excellence in transforming learning environments. Sarah and Ahmad have demonstrated exceptional methods of using innovative teaching techniques and the use of technology within their classrooms.

Joining an exclusive community of only 800 educators from over 100 countries, Sarah and Ahmad will have access to technology for both the classroom and curriculum to improve student learning. They will also advise Microsoft and other educational institutions in Kuwait on how to integrate technology in relevant ways. They will have access to webinars to learn about and provide feedback on new technologies and educational concepts. Effectively, they will be advocates on blogs and at conferences, events and trainings on how technologies can improve teaching and learning.

“I am absolutely thrilled to have been selected as one of Microsoft Innovative Educator from Kuwait and offer more to my students and fellow teachers” said Ahmad Ashour at Ibn El Almeed Secondary School. “Being a teacher of chemistry and a presenter of educational programs on the Kuwait educational channel, I had the opportunity to take advantage of Microsoft software and tools in the field of teaching, which include One Note, Microsoft Office and many others. I am happy to share experience from other educators which makes the learning journey more fun, interesting and effective, for this I thank Microsoft.”
In addition to gaining recognition, Microsoft Innovative Educators receive free Microsoft tools and technology including Office 365 Pro Plus , exclusive professional development opportunities, enhancement of personal brands and careers as thought-leaders through participation in case studies, speaking engagements and content development. They are also invited to attend Global Education Forum in Dubai, UAE on February 22-24, 2015, and are also eligible to earn an all-expense paid trip to the Microsoft Educator Global Exchange in Redmond, Washington in April 2015.
