Cultural diversity truly shines in the portals with wonderful assemblies that are one of the most prized memories depicted annually. Children's day celebration means fun and frolic for kids and is a tribute to 'childhood.'

Children's Day observed in a grand way coincides with the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (November 14, 1889 - May 27, 1964), first Prime Minister of Independent India. This celebration commemorates Jawaharlal Nehru for his faith that education of children could propel the country's progress. Indeed a day to remember a leader who, in his quiet but determined way laid the foundation to convert a nascent nation into a world power.

In the early month of November 2014, to pay a fitting tribute to all nationalist leaders in their glorious struggle for India’s freedom struggle from the British Raj, ICSK junior branch planned and executed special assemblies titled ‘INCREDIBLE INDIA’ this was followed by series of Children’s Day special assemblies. Thus in conjunction with the theme, students portrayed the rich cultural diversity, religious tolerance, social, economic and political progress of India. Assemblies to rejoice the rich vibrant heritage of our motherland commenced with recitation of verses from holy Quran, followed by the school prayer, meaningful thought for the day, variety of patriotic songs, anecdotes, dances, self explanatory tableau.

Teachers were all set to sing, shake-a-leg and, basically, do all it takes to entertain their students to mark children's day. Not missing an opportune moment, teachers disguised themselves as children presented educative and grand cultural fiesta for their beloved students. The theme portrayed by teachers was, ‘Children's day is a very special day in every child's life and childhood is transitory’. If the teachers expressed their love through dance, music and drama, students reciprocated the emotion in equal measure with their loud applause and cheering! The courtyard vibrated with thunderous laughter and affection infused with admiration for their Gurus.

Principal Incharge, Mrs. Sherly Dennis in her address reminded children to remain loyal citizens of their mother land. Congratulating all participants on their stage performance she extended her warm greetings highlighting that the energy, the zeal and the spirit shown by teachers was amazing and deserves a special word of praise.

On this joyous occasion Principal in charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis and Vice-Principal Mrs. Murthy honored the winners of CCA competitions. With immense pride they expressed jubilation in seeing the students and staff members of ICSK junior branch, come on stage creating a unique combination of their talent and putting on a colorful show.

Rip roaring assemblies were dispersed after the Indian National Anthem. The excitement and enjoyment of students made every teacher of the wing glorify.
