160 arrested in Hawalli for not carrying IDs

Hawalli detectives recently launched several inspection campaigns at check points and issued 166 traffic citations. 160 people were arrested for not carrying any IDs; 14 illegals and 17 absconders were also detained; 7 drug peddlers and four drunkards were also apprehended. Security sources said that 3 vehicles were also confiscated and 26 people were referred to the deportation department. In similar development, a traffic inspection campaign was recently launched in Shuwaikh Industrial Area.
