Kala(Art) Kuwait “Niram 2014” held with elegance and pride

All roads led to Khaitan, venue of "NIRAM-2014” powered by "SHIFA AL-JAZEERA Medical Center” painting competition, under the patronage of H. E. Mr. Sunil Jain, The Ambassador of India, Indian Embassy Kuwait. There was a festive air prevailed over there, and the sunny and serene weather with cool breeze was also a great blessing. A world of colours and lines were blooming.

"NIRAM-2014” the popularly known painting competition was held in Indian Community School, Khaitan with elegance and glory by Kala(Art) Kuwait on Friday, 14th November 2014. NIRAM 2014, was held as a part of Children's Day celebrations marking the 125th birth day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.

There were more than a Total of 2600 entries out of which 2225 children took part in the competitions. The parents actively participated in the open canvas and Clay Sculpture was also an item for students. Different Gift packets were distributed to all children immediately after the competition.

His Excellency Mr. Sunil Jain The Ambassador of India, Indian Embassy Kuwait, inaugurated the program. Kala(Art) President K. Hassan Koya, General Secretary Mukesh V. P., Program General Convener Samkutty Thomas, Registration convener Jaison Joseph, Indian Community School Principal Mr. Gangadhar Shirshad, Lulu Hyper Regional Director Mr. Mohammed Haris, Iffco Manager Mr. Anu Mohammed, Lamoda Manager Mr, Jayan, Prominent Community Leaders Sharafuddin Kanneth, Hamsa Payyannur, Haneefa, Raju Sakriya, Thomas Panicker, Krishnan Kadalundy, Arun, Babuji Batheri, Iqbal Kuttamangalam were also attended the inaugural function.

Well Known Artists John Mavelikkara, Sasi Krishahan and Shammy John were supervised the competition. The program was controlled by Johney, Sunil Kumar, Babu Mambad, Shyjith, Aneesh, Rakesh, Shamsu, Anil, Shameer, V. Mohanan, C. Bhaskaran, Ramakrishnan, Najeeb, Bibin, Renuka, Biji, Thasleena, Ambili, Suresh, Santhosh, Shaji, Sreenivasan, Girish, Shivakumar, Bharathan, Vibin, Anil V., Rijo, Nitin, Vishnu, Kanakaraj, Arun, Sandeep, Kunjiraman, Ullas, Shibin Rajan, Sunil chacko, Sanju Mathew etc. Divya Kiran & Sumi Joseph did the Compeering.

The result of the Competition will be announced by organizing committee as well as the judging committee on 8th December 2014 through leading news papers and also websites. Prize Distribution Ceremony will be held at Indian Community School Khaithan on 12th December 2013 at 2:30pm.

The organizers have expressed their fullest satisfaction on the successful holding of the Competition. They have thanked all children, parents, Management and teachers of all Indian schools in Kuwait, Representatives of various Indian socio-cultural organizations in Kuwait and all Sponsors for their active participation and wholehearted support by making the event a grant success. Kala(Art) Kuwait is now very happy that it has once again proved beyond doubt that it upholds the very interests of all art lovers in Kuwait and work for the promotion of Art (Kala). Students and their parents are fully familiar with 'NIRAM', and they can no longer be hoodwinked as this is the 10th consecutive year Kala(Art) Kuwait has been successfully holding the painting Competition on the occasion of Children's day.

A large number of prominent leaders of various Indian socio-cultural organizations, media persons and sponsors were also witnessed the competition.
