Kuwait based next-generation online travel portal,Citybookers.com, launched here in an exclusive function held at Kuwait’s Marina Hotel. The event was attended by leading travel partners from the Gulf region, in addition to other guests and media representatives.

Citybookers.com is the brainchild of travel industry expert Ahmed N. Refai and was built by a dedicated team of developers and engineers across three countries, including former employees of world-renowned online travel portals.

Refai said: “We are very excited to show the world what we’ve been working on all these years. Starting today, customers in Kuwait, the region, and globally have access to citybookers.com’s beautiful and easy booking and payment experience that rivals leading global booking sites and even surpasses them with support for local debit card, Arabic language customer support and other added value services.

We chose Kuwait as our base and a platform because the country is an ideal launch travel market. Though a small country, Kuwait has one of the highest traveled populations in the Middle East, where weekend international travel is widely adopted by a majority of the 3.3 million residents.

In the following months, we will also be launching additional services on the website such as hotel transfers, car rentals, adventure tours and in-destination activities and attractions which will provide travellers with the complete travel booking and payment experience. We believe that the best packages offered simultaneously with personalized and localized service through our call center will be the key in getting our customers to book with us over and over again.”

Citybookers.com also has access to over 100 different airlines worldwide in more than 89 countries and over 100,000 hotels in more than 89 countries.
