Jaleeb Zone emerges overall champion at RSC Kuwait National ‘Sahithyolsav’

Participants from Jaleeb Zone emerged overall champions at 6th National Sahithyolsav organized by Risala Study Circle (RSC), securing 363 points. Farwaniya and Fahaheel Zones were placed in the second and third positions securing 282 and 279 points, respectively. Current year’s Sahithyolsav was being celebrated as a part of the year long celebrations declared by RSC upon its completion of 20th anniversary in gulf countries.

Unit and zone level competitions were completed by first week of October and accordingly, the best in class performers of all five zones competed in National Sahithyolsav, which came to a colourful end here on Friday, 7 November 2014 at Abbasiya Pakistan School.

The event was inaugurated by prominent personalities at 8:00 am. More than 300 students from five zones contested in 23 items on four separate stages. Various competitions such as ‘Mappilapaattu’, group songs, storytelling, elocutions, painting, poem and story writing, language games, mathematical puzzles, maduhu songs, duff demonstrations, moulid recitations, visual documentary, spot magazines etc were held under primary, junior, secondary, senior and general categories.




SSF Kerala state president Abdul Jaleel Saqafi Kadalundi was the chief gust of the closing ceremony, which was held at 8:00 pm. Sayed Habeeb Bukhari, the Chief patron of Sahithyolsav organizing Committee, presided over the function. Abdul Hakeem Darimi, ICF National Committee President, inaugurated the event. General Secretary Alavi Saqafi Thenjeri, Vice-President Ahmad K Maniyoor, Secretaries Abdulla Vadakara & Advocate Thanweer, Haneefa Vellachal, Abdul Latheef Saqafi, Mishab Villyapally delivered speeches.



ICF Supreme Council Chairman Sayed Abdul Rahiman Bafakhi distributed trophies to overall champions. IBlack Eletronics Managing Director Abid distributed the prize to the best performer of the event. Sayed Saidalavi Saqafi, Ahmad Saqafi Kavanoor, Abdul Azeez Saqafi, Kodumunda Muhiyiddheen Kutty Musliar, Engineer Aboo Muhammed, Muhammed Kutty Bakhavi distributed prizes to winners.
