Rising Stars, Malabar United and Goa Maroons Forge Ahead in KIFF League 2014-2015

The ongoing KIFF league for the Late J.P. D’Mello Memorial Rolling Trophy for season 2014-2015 has now gathered full momentum. Day four on 7th November 2014 three matches were played at the Bayan ground with the temps dropping and making the playing conditions pleasant.
The first match was between YRC Rising Stars v/s Soccer Kerala. Both teams were equally balanced, but missed goal scoring chances. Cheslee got the breakthrough for Rising Stars just before the end of the first half. Soccer Kerala mounted pressure in the 2nd half but Rising Stars defense held firm and win the encounter to earn three important points for Rising Stars. Cheslee of YRC Rising Stars was declared the man of the match.
In the second encounter Santos United clashed with Malabar United. Santos United starting well on a positive note and took the lead through Anthony Rego. Tiago of Santos United hit the cross bar with his well taken free kick. Malabar United equalized through Aswad Ali just before the half time to make the score 1 – 1. Malabar United kept calm and increased the tempo of the game and took the lead through Ashtaq and win the match 2-1. Ashtaq of Malabar United was declared the Man of the Match.
The final match of the day was played between GOA Maroons v/s Indian Strikers. Both the teams started the game on a fast pace with equal attempts on goal. Indian strikers forged ahead through a penalty and the captain of Indian Strikers Aju made no mistake to give his team the lead. Goa Maroons hit back quickly through Everest to equalize. Goa Maroons dominated the second half and Gaby scored the winning goal to end the match 2-1 in favor of GOA Maroons. Everest of Goa Maroons was adjudged the Man of the Match.
