Action against policeman who abuse their power

The Ministry of Interior said it will punish men in uniform who abuse their authority and laws and regulations of the ministry.

An officer at Sabah Al-Salem police station was referred to the Control and Inspection Department on charges of insulting an Asian and filming the entire episode and then posting the clip of the social networking website.

According to reports, the officer may even be discharged from service especially because there was no reason to commit the act which happened because the Asian expatriate was a newcomer and did not carry his civil ID but has valid residence. His visa is valid and he did not violate the country’s laws.
