Gandhi Jayanti and Eid Al Adha Celebrations at Jack and Jill Preprimary School.

‘Gandhi Jayanti’ or the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, is celebrated on the second of October every year in commemoration of the national hero. Jack and Jill Mangaf celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Eid Al Adha with many an activity.



Bhavans Jack and Jill organized a special assembly to celebrate the spirit of ‘Gandhi Jayanti’ and ‘Eid Al Adha’. Gandhi Jayanti reminds us of the importance of patience and non-violence. Eid Al Adha, which is known as the festival of sacrifice, underlines the significance of sacrifice in our lives.

The assembly was brought to fruition by the cheerful kids of UKG-B. The zeal and zest of the children who were clad in white, captured the hearts of the audience.



The assembly began on a sublime note with the recitation of the holy Quran. The peppy kids spoke about the significance of Eid Al Adha.

The children also enlightened the audience about Gandhiji and his noble ideologies. A special skit was staged on the ‘Quit India Movement’ and the ‘Swadeshi Movement.’ The confident and elegant enacting of the little ones fetched thunderous applause that literally made the auditorium reverberate.



The audience comprising parents, children, and teachers watched the program with awe and admiration. Mahatma Gandhi’s favorite bhajan ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’ was rendered by the boys of UKG-B. The girls of the same section danced to the popular song ‘I Love My India’ which aroused patriotic as well as nostalgic feelings in the hearts of the spectators.

Mrs. Rathi Ravindran, the principal of Jack and Jill Mangaf thanked the parent community for their unreserved support and encouragement. A class party was organized to add luster and festivity to the celebrations.
