Lu&Lu Hypermarket, the largest operator of retail outlets in the region, launched 'Best of Britain 2014' on 22 October in an elaborate inaugural ceremony at its Al Qurain outlet. His Excellency Mathew Lodge, Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, inaugurated the Food Festival at 6pm in the presence of Regional Director Mohamed Haris, Regional Manager Sreejith K.S., Operations Manager Martin Daly, Commercial Manager Abdul Samad and other top management officials.

In its festive spirit, the Best of Britain 2014 highlighted London's giant Ferris wheel London Eye, its historical London Bridge, the red English Telephone Booth and the Routemaster London bus, much to the delight of customers.

The Best of Britain 2014, an eagerly awaited annual event, celebrates the best of British food. Besides fresh dairy and bakery products, among the highlight of this year’s festival included the display of ethical and organic produce, which is gaining popularity with many consumers, as well as among health watchers from Britain. The range and variety of delectable and diverse food products on offer during the festival showcased high-quality British foods, many of which also address the growing environmental and sustainability concerns of customers. For a taste of Britain, the hypermarket's special British sampling food counters arranged in hot food sections thronged with customers.

The opening of a dedicated procurement office in Birmingham ensured that the Hypermarket not only sourced the highest quality British foods, but also a speedy and timely delivery to their outlets across the region. With consignments of fresh dairy and bakery products brought in by air, frozen goods arriving by sea and the range of British grocery products on their shelves constantly replenished, the Hypermarket currently accounts for a large portion of British retail exports to the region.

The Best of Britain 2014, yet another instance where Lu&Lu Hypermarket demonstrates its market insight, provided customers with what they want and when they want it, with the clear focus of consolidating their retail dominance in the region.
