Salmiya Indian Model School conducted the workshop on Psychology of Behaviour

Salmiya Indian Model School, Kuwait (SIMS)had the privilege of hosting the workshop on Psychology of Behaviour ,conducted by the Gulf Council (Kuwait Chapter).

Dr. Babu Rangarajan, Psychologist and Clinical Psychologist, spoke on the following topics:
•Difference between psychology and physiology
• Reasons for appreciation
• Reasons for poor scholastic achievements ( Physical condition, Autism, IQ, ADHD, Dyslexia )
• Concentration and how it can be doubled
• Cognitive Approach ( the relation between behaviour and feelings , interpretation of Self Dialogue... )

Dr. Rangarajan also discussed about what causes change in feelings, and also mentioned that ‘Difficult’ is the only word that causes difficulty for all while ‘Easy’ is a self-hypnotic word that eases thing out.

SIMS teachers were joined by the teachers of Indian English Academy (Don Bosco) School and Indian Public School. The teachers were divided into groups and many activities were conducted. Tokens were given by Dr. Rangarajan for a question well answered or an activity well done. This increased motivation and created a competitive spirit among all groups. Mrs. Rooma Bahl of
SIMS was adjudged Outstanding Teacher of the session for collecting most tokens for her group.

The gathering was welcomed by Dr. Prashant Vasudev, Principal, SIMS.

Dr. Prashant also thanked Dr. Rangarajan for his valuable insights into the human psyche. He hoped that all present would be able to put to good use all the information they had gathered at the workshop.
