Thrissur Association Celebrates Maholsavam 2014

Thrissur Association of Kuwait (TRASSK) Celebrated its Annual Mega event ‘Mahotsavam 2014’ on 10th October, 2014 at Indian Central School,Jleeb Al shyouk. The Mega event was commenced with a procession of Kerala’s traditional art forms, such as Kathakali, Theyyam, Chendamelam, Thalam” and accompanied the guests, officials and members to the stage. His Excellency the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Shri. Sunil Jain inaugurated the celebration by lighting the traditional lamp. Director of Farwainia Governorate.H.E. Lieutenant Colonel. Nayef Abdul Bakhi Al Awadi was the Special guest for the occasion.. Extending the warm greetings, Shri Sunil Jain praised the socio-cultural activities of Thrissur Association in his inaugural speech. Top management of Sponsors such as Dr. Thresa Diaz (Bethesda Home for Senior citizens), Smt. Keerthy kishore (Mistair Realty Pvt Ltd) etc., graced the event with their honourable presence.

First instalments of ‘Education scheme’, a prestigious project of association to provide complete financial support for two deserving students for professional study, were given and the top scorers in State and CBSE X & XII examinations were also honoured by Merit Awards. The Pension Plan for association members and TRASSK Data bank were Inaugurated on the occasion. Association’s exquisitely designed colourful MAHOLSAVAM 2014 SOUVENIR, containing informative articles and literary writings, was released by TCV senior correspondent Mr. Mukesh Lal, handing over to Mrs.Keerthi Kishore.

The grand program was filled with variety of cultural programmes like dance, mimicry and a FUSION THEME DANCE about the importance of conserving nature. The special attraction of the evening, was a musical extravaganza by contemporary musical band ‘MASALA COFFEE’, thrilled the huge crowd.

Programme convener Shri.Prabish K.P. welcomed the gathering. TRASSK President Shri. T.G. Venugopal presided the grand cultural meeting, General Secretery Shri.Biju Koroth presented the activity report and the session was felicitated by Vanitha vedhi Coordinator Smt.Shiny Frank and Kalikkalam coordinator Master Steven Sebastian. Treasurer Shri.G.Jayasankar cast the vote of thanks. Suresh kv, shiju poulose, manikuttan , ajay pangil, rema vijayan, praveena gireesh were programme controlled.
