Customs foiled attempt to smuggle narcotic pills worth KD 6 million

Kuwait International Airport’s customs foiled an attempt to smuggle three million narcotic pills worth KD 6 million into the country. Officers from the Air Cargo Unit in the General Customs Department , in coordination with the Drug Control General Department at the Interior Ministry arrested a Syrian man in connection with this. The officers thoroughly inspected a cargo containing a big oven from Lebanon and this led to the discovery of the large quantity of narcotic pills. The pills had been hidden in secret compartments inside the oven. The suspect and the confiscated items were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
