Eid Al-Adha on October 4, Saudi Arabia confirms

Saudi Arabia announced that Thursday will mark the first day of the Islamic lunar Hijri month of Dhul Hijja, while the Standing at Mount Arafat will be on October 3 followed by Eid Al-Adha a day later.

This means that the Standing at Mount Arafat will fall on a Friday - the ninth day of Dhul Hijja - with the following day marking the beginning of the four-day Islamic festival, Eid Al-Adha.
