Sponges confiscated in Jleeb for storing without safety precautions

The Kuwait Fire Services Directorate (KFSD) confiscated a shipment of sponge worth KD 40,677 during a recent campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh for storing the sponge material under circumstances that lacked basic safety conditions. The shipment owner was summoned by police for questioning.

KFSD teams also carried out inspection campaigns at colleges, schools, kindergartens and nurseries in Hawally, Salmiya and Jabriya to check safety conditions of the places.

It has been reported that the basements of many buildings in busy residential area in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh are used illegally for sofa and furniture manufacturing, posing a threat to the safety of the tenants living there.
