Bengali Cultural Society conducted 18th Kitco Inter School Quiz Contest

The finals of the 18th Kitco Inter School Quiz Contest presented by the Bengali Cultural Society was held on Friday September 12 at the Amerian International School Auditoirum at 7 p.m. The chief guest for the evening was the Ambassador of India Mr Sunil Jain. For the last 18 years the Kitco Inter School Quiz has set standards as far as ‘edutainment’ is concerned. The preliminary round of the Quiz Contest was held at the Salmiya Indian Model School. A total of 52 students from 13 schools participated out of which 8 teams made it to the finals. The schools who made it to the semi finals were Fahaheel Al Watanieh Indian Private School, Indian Community School, Amman Street, Gulf Indian School, Fahaheel, Indian Learners Own Academy, Indian Public School, Indian Central School, India International School and Salmiya Indian Model School. The quiz was hosted by Quizmaster Andrew Scolt of Derek O Brien and Associates Pvt Ltd.
The team that carried away the 18th Kitco Inter School Quiz Contest in a nail biting finish was Delhi Public School FAIPS. Sarath Menon and Raam S Narayan of DPS kept the audience guessing till the end. They were followed by Hardik Pandey and Abel Chris from Salmiya Indian Model School.
