Cabinet mulls renaming housemaids as ‘servants’

Ministers at the Cabinet meeting yesterday examined recommendations of the legal affairs committee over a draft decree changing the term “domestic worker” or “housemaid” to “servant” to be compatible with texts of relevant laws, and a draft law that regulates search and seizure of unlicensed weapons, ammunition and fireworks. Ministers also approved various draft decrees and referred them to HH the Amir pending submission to the National Assembly.
