KD 500 fine if expats fail in medical test

Ministry will impose fines on the expatriates who fail medical tests at the laboratory allotted for expatriate personnel if proven they have contagious diseases.

According to reports in local daily, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Health Dr Khalid Al-Sahlawi confirmed that the ministry will fine each laborer KD 500 if medical test confirms he/she has infectious disease, indicating the lab that examined the concerned laborers in their respective home countries will be fined sums equal to the price of air ticket for repatriation of the violator.
