‘I Love my India' mesmerized the audience in Kuwait on Independence Day

Indian Youth Society (IYS) presented a unique entertainment show ‘I Love my India' to the people of Kuwiat on India's 68th Independence day on Friday August 15th at Indian Embassy Auditorium in Kuwait. The show with standup comedian, mimicry artist and talented singer Sugandha Mishra performed live for the first time ever in Kuwait was received by the crowd with big applause.

The program began with a video presentation about IYS followed by a formal welcome by compere Shakier Shaikh. After the rendition of the Indian National Anthem India, Heartbeat, a dance group and Friends Bangra Punjabi group entertained the audience with their foot tapping dances.

Indian ambassador to Kuwait, Sunil Jain was the chief guest for the event and he delivered the Independence day message. IYS president Shabbir Qamar welcomed the audience and prominent Kuwaiti businessman Khalil Ali Ibrahim Al Khalil wished the Indians on the occasion of Independence Day and expressed his gratitude towards Indians

Sugandha Mishra made a grand entry with the patriotic song 'I love my India' from the movie Pardes. Sugandha Mishra who is called as a goodie bag with loads of entertainment captivated the audience with her melodious voice and jokes. She blew everyone away when she said "Namaskar" in the voice of the singing goddess of India - Lata Mangeshkar. She even sang in Lataji's Voice. Absolutely fantastic!. She enthralled the audience by songs from old and new films, mimicry of playback singers, musical instruments, actors and standup comedy. Her interaction with the song 'Jiski Biwi....' from Laawaris tickled the ribs of the audience to the maximum.

Dance performance by Heart Beatz Dance group and Punjabi Bangra groupd gave an added colors to the event. Local artists Subhasish Bhattacharya and Julia Anil also entertained the audience with Hindi songs.
