Police found a total of 141 kg of hashish and 15 kg of heroin hidden at a local beach after it arrived to Kuwait following a smuggling operation.

Drug Control General Department officers launched investigations after receiving information about the smuggling. An undercover agent was sent to a location where investigations revealed that the drugs will be delivered. Two Asian men were arrested at the location, and led police to the drugs. Investigations with the two persons revealed that they had entered Kuwait illegally.

The duo said during questioning that they were assigned by a drug smuggling gang to ‘store’ the drugs before they were handed over to smuggling networks in specified GCC countries. The Interior Ministry lauded the operation as a ‘huge success’ for the cooperation between drug control departments in GCC states.
