12 companies prosecuted for violating noon ban law

The Public Authority for Manpower referred 12 companies to the Interior Ministry’s Criminal Investigations Department for forcing workers to work under extreme heat condition during the summer.

Working outdoors in Kuwait is banned from June 1 to Aug 31, every day from 11 am to 4 pm. According to reports, eleven companies that hire a total of 30 workers have violated the law by forcing staff to work in under unsafe environments during the ban hours.

Employers who refuse to cooperate with warnings to avoid forcing workers to work outside during the ban hours face procedures that include suspending their files, a KD 200 fine for every worker, in addition to legal action. ou
