Kuwait cancels 8th Ring Road project

The Assistant Undersecretary for Public Roads Engineering Sector at the Ministry of Public Works Ahmad Al-Hassan was recently quoted as saying the agreement for the study and design of the Eighth Ring Road has been cancelled because the project falls in the pathway of the Burgan Oilfield pipeline, local daily reported.

The official affirmed the consultant who is responsible for the design has to come up with an alternative path. He said the road linking Wafra with Mina Abdullah is an appropriate alternative for the Eight Ring Road.
