Mr Ashok Kumar Angural took charge as Regional Director of TCIL in Kuwait

1987 Batch of Indian Telecom Services officer Mr Ashok Kumar Angural took charge as the new regional director of Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd, Kuwait.

Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd. (TCIL) is a Government of India Undertaking incorporated in 1978 under the Administrative control of Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India.

TCIL has extended its telecom consultancy and turnkey projects execution services to telecom operators, bulk users and others in overseas countries. TCIL Kuwait branch sponsored by M/s Ahmed Yousuf Behbehani General Trading & Contracting Co. W.L.L is approved contractor of Ministry of Communication, Kuwait, since 1980. TCIL was the first and the main company after liberation in 1991, for rehabilitation work, for restoration of telecommunication services in the country. TCIL is also working and providing telecom services to KOC, KNPC, JO Wafra, KU, PIFSS, Zain telecom, VIVA, Wataniya, and other important ministries like, MoI, MoD, MoH, Ministry of Awqaf, Kuwait Port Authority, and Central Bank of Kuwait.

“The success story of TCIL lies in its Quality Management and excellence in project execution”, said Mr Ashok Angural. Graduated in B.E. (Electronics & Communications) from NIT Srinagar in 1986 and MBA Operation from IGNOU, New Delhi, Mr Ashok joined Department of Telecom in 1989 and handled various senior level post in Government of India telecom department.

He was the Project Director for TCIL at Ethiopia & Mauritius and has visited many African countries like Seychelles, Madagascar, Comoros, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, South Africa etc for implementation of TCIL’s prestigious Pan African e-Network project.
