Firemen put out fire at Sabhan warehouses

Firemen have managed to put out a fire that caught warehouses in Sabhan Area, south of Kuwait, early Thursday and left six firemen and two soldiers injured.

Early today, conflagration took place at a Sabhan depot which housed batteries, household equipment, furniture, tires and wood.

Seven fire squads were called to put out the fire, which affected 5,000 square meters, the administration said.
Technical efforts have been already exerted in order to thwart more fires at the area, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Fire Squad Chief Col. Walid Al-Ansari told KUNA.

Investigations are under way to reach the causes of the fire, he added.

Earlier Head of Operations at Kuwait International Airport informed that the Kuwait International Airport is not affected by the smoke from a fire which broke out in Sabhan area Thursday morning and the Traffic is normal at the airport. ou
