Incredible India

Many of you friends might have got the opportunity to see these parades live. And don’t you all feel a sea of pride surge into you when our Tricolored Flag- Tiranga flies high in the air?

The Indian national flag was designed Pingali Venkayya. He designed the flag in a very meaningful way with only 3 colors – saffron, white, green. Where each color gives a meaning i.e saffron- courage and valor, white- truth and purity, green- peace and prosperity.

Have you all ever wondered why are there only 24 spokes in the Ashok Chakra? Well, the spokes individually represent virtues which are to be followed. They are – 1. Love 2. Courage 3. Patience 4. Peacefulness 5. Kindness 6. Goodness 7. Faithfulness 8. Gentleness 9. Self-control 10.Selflessness 11. Self sacrifice 12. Truthfulness 13. Righteousness 14. Justice 15. Mercy 16. Graciousness 17. Humility 18. Empathy 19. Sympathy 20. Godly knowledge 21. Godly wisdom 22. Godly moral 23. Reverential fear of God 24. Hope/trust/faith in the goodness of God.

Next, India has developed a lot in these 64 years. Lets us see some of the development stories of India.

Through the times, the main developed aspect is the Women Education Rights. Many social reformers like Ishwara Chandra Vidyasagar, Swami Dayanand Saraswati , Begum Rokheya, Mumtaz Ali bought changes in the thought of the people saying that Women are a important part of the nation. This made the government pass the resolution ‘Education for girls’.

Keeping this in mind, in the later years, it was noticed that in those times there were children below 10 – 14 yrs. working in coal mines and many other dangerous work areas. So, it was made compulsory for all the children to get education. As a result, a declaration was passed called the ‘Right to Education act(RTE)’. Through this many children got the opportunity to get educated.

The Right of children to Free and Compulsory Education Act came into being only on April 1, 2010. It was a momentous day for many Indians as they could now achieve the Right to Education as the Right to Life in the article 21A. It was also made sure to follow the 4 A’s during the RTE act which are Available, Accessible, Acceptable and Adaptable.

The next main outcome is the improved health care facilities. During the past times the healthcare wasn’t much developed there. Many people fought for the better living of their lives. Before long, the government declared that the healthcare facilities would be improved. Which is improved way better than what it was before.

But in contrast, on June 4th the Hindustan times says that – Between 60 & 65 million people are estimated to have been displaced in India since the independence, the highest number of people uprooted in the development project in the world. So, the citizens of India should be more attached to their nation and prefer working for it.

One of the famous TV Programs – Satyameva Jayate also tells us a lot about the ongoing problem like how the lower classed people like the Sudras are disregarded as compared to the higher class people like the Brahmins and Kshatriyas. There is also an episode of healthcare, where the doctors don’t pay much attention and compassion to the patients. And also whatever worst conditions we may be in, only if we deposit a certain amount we get to see the doctor.

Despite of such problems India is still a successful country. It is still working on all the rolling problems. And finally I’d like to say ‘I Feel Up, Being An Indian’

JAI HIND !!
