Bhavans SIS & JnJ KG celebrates

"Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul."

— Friedrich Froebel

National Kindergarten Day is celebrated each year on April 21 to remember the birthday of the German educator Friedrich Froebel, the founder of the first-ever play and activity institute called Kindergarten in 1837. The concept of Kindergarten, which means “Garden for the children”, recognizes that children learn best through play, creativity, and experience, as well as social skills and independence. It allows them to transition from home to school smoothly. Kindergarten should be a safe space for children where they sing, dance, draw, play, make new friends, be curious, and experience new things all in learning development.

"The best way to make children good is to make them happy."

— Oscar Wilde

To mark this joyous occasion, the precious children of Jack and Jill School and Bhavans Smart Indian School partook in a string of activities and games planned for them throughout the day of April 21, 2024. The children looked resplendent in their bright colorful outfits as they reached school to be cheered on by their teachers. The significance of the day was explained to them by their teachers, and they were encouraged to participate in various games like Tower Building game, Pass the Cup, Musical chairs, Find the colour, Grab the Handkerchief, and Bubble Burst, to name just a few. All children of Pre-Kg, KG1, and KG2 also participated in a range of activities where they engaged in Fun painting by unleashing their creativity on a blank canvas, learned to make flowers out of paper and popsicle sticks, created colourful paper doughnuts, and even designer paper carry-bags! The special day was celebrated in the same spirit of aspiring towards Excellence and providing opportunities for young minds to learn through creativity and imagination that the Kindergarten division of Bhavans SIS and Jack and Jill School always strive for and provide to our cherished children.
