The Indian Badminton Association – Kuwait - IBAK conducted its “Intra IBAK Badminton Tournament 2024” on 25th & 26th January 2024. IBAK salwa stadium was feeling the heat on the courts where the best friends competed against each other and clinched titles. It was an amazing treat for the spectators who were more than 200.
The tournament was hosted in Seven categories as follows: Flight 1 Professional Doubles, Flight 2 Advance Doubles, Flight 3 Intermediate Doubles (Open of All), Flight 4 Lower Intermediate Doubles (Open of All), Ladies Doubles, Under-15 Boys Doubles, Under-15 Mix Doubles.
Team Rakkama lifts the championship. It’s always fun to compete with your colleagues. They teach you more with their skills and talents in a much comfortable mode.
All the players were thoroughly scrutinized and categorized based on their skills and talents shown on courts during their daily practice sessions. All the categorized players were grouped into 6 teams as follows: Team Ranchitame, Team Tatta Tattara, Team Olluleru, Team Rakama, Team Paalapalli, Team Dhinka Chikka – These names are given to the team inspired by famous Indian songs.
The overall championship trophy was presented to Team Rakkama. The runner up trophy was shared between Team Ranchitame & Team Paalapalli.
IBAK chairman Dr. Manimara Chozhan congratulated all the participants of the Intra IBAK tournament. IBAK had kick started the year 2024 with a successful Intra IBAK tournament and published the calendar of various tournaments that will be conducted by IBAK.
