Issue with Nissan Murano AC
posted by JA on Wednesday, April 24, 2024
I''m reaching out with a bit of a car trouble that I''m hoping someone might have some insight on. I''ve got a Nissan Murano, and lately, I''ve been having some issues with the AC.
About 22 months ago (around two years), I had to change the compressor because the AC wasn''t working at all. That seemed to fix the problem, but now I''m running into the same issue again. It''s just not cooling and blowing hot air.
I tried refilling the gas in the AC system, and initially, it seemed to work fine for about two days. However, after that, it went right back to blowing hot air. It looks like there might be a leakage issue somewhere in the system because upon checking, I found that there''s no gas left in it now.
When I had the gas refilled, the mechanic used some colored chemical to check for leaks, but unfortunately, it seems that wasn''t sufficient. He mentioned that he doesn''t have the proper equipment, such as laser-based glasses, to thoroughly inspect for leaks.
Now the mechanic I consulted mentioned something about a possible problem with the Talajat/condenser and suggested taking it to Shuwaik for a closer look.
I''m a confused on what to do next. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated, as climate is changing so getting difficult to drive day by day! Thanks in advance for your help.

If you go to 10 mechanics, you will different reasons for AC not working. No body can pinpoint the accurate reason and all mechanics will do R & D at your cost.
Search for solution on google and/or chatGPT and may be you may get a solution. I normally do this exercise if my car has any problems and 60% I was able to solve by reading the forum.
I did a little search of your issue and found that leakage is responsible for gas escape and/or clogging of condenser. Sure there will be very small joint leaks or holes through which gas is escaping.
Go to shuweikh area and find the cost of new condenser (original and duplicate). Find a mechanic in your area and ask his labor charges and get it fixed.

as mentioned by you , if the gas is leaking within 2 days , it means you have a big leak. inspect your AC line for any oil spillage, that is if you see any ac oil appearing over pipes/joints/compressor/talajat. Just inform any indian/pakistani mechanic that you have a leak in you ac system and you want them to find out where it is and get it repaired. Try in Shuwaikh with shops where they have leakage detector machines.
