Its a good trip fr those whom love driving. You can travel via Dammam , Salwa(Qatar border ) to UAE border. it will take around 10+ hours . Only issue i think in June it will be roaring heat, so make sure your car should be in super good condition.

If you can take some additional holidays, take breaks at Bahrain and Qatar as they come on the way. We travelled Bahrain thrice and once to Qatar in last 6 months. The roads are super smooth. Just take care of falling into sleep as they are straight for a very long distance. It is good if there are two persons who can drive. While coming back, you can take a break in Saudi. Qatar is beautiful and Bahrain, you can enjoy good food. If you are a nature lover, visit Oman.

Driving in Middle East is a pleasure. Recently I drove to Bahrain and enjoyed the long drive. Bahrain is manageable due to short distance. No harm in driving to Dubai but you will lose 2 entire days (to & fro) only in driving. How many days then do you have left in hands to spend in Dubai? Also remember you are excited while going to Dubai but while returning you have a long way and can get bored and tired.

i have travelled to Saudi\Bahrain\Qatar for the past 2 yrs countless times. I enjoy driving . We always take breaks every 1.5-2 hrs hr fr 10 -15 minutes. Or if we c a nice land scape we stop there and explore ....so if u relax like this and drive it wil b fun. But if u try to drive straight then u wil be exhausted as hell. Even though i love these kinds of travelling , i don''t prefer driving in the peak of summer (june-aug). Take care.
