I think this is a good sign that Kuwait realized that Indians (high or low positions) are the best and honest in their jobs.
But the Indian Government should make the labour class workers a responsibility of the Indian Embassy located in every country. They should send workers ONLY through contracts of the Indian Embassy. The Indian Embassy can impose requirements like monthly reporting of the workers to the Embassy to check on their treatment, salaries and other status.
This way the Kuwaiti sponsors or government will be forced to comply and behave with our workers.
By the way, those talking about pride of our nation, please educate yourselves. Pride does not come with money. Even a beggar can earn his pride if he does an honest day's work.

The news if true is welcomed but I think so they should recheck the salary of 140 KD. May be it is 40 KD. Which I think is now the minimum pay in Kuwait.

AS FAR I KNOW MOST OF THE ILLEGAL FAMILY RELATIONS EXISTING IN KUWAIT IS MATTTER OF SERIOUS CONCERN AND THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE LOW EARNING, MAILY BY THE FEMALE DOMESTIC WORKERS. USING THIS CHANCE THE HONOURABLE INDIAN EMBASSY OF INDIA IN KUWAIT, MIGHT ADVICE THE MINISTRY TO RECRUIT LOCALLY, CHANGE VISAS (MINISTRY CAN DO IT EASILY), LET THEM HAVE STATUS LIKE EVERY ONE. since i am working in the ministry,i come across a lot of these workers,several times we have collected and given money to these people as their salaries were not given on time,god help these people

If it is really going to be 140kd it is a welcome news.Unfortunately we all know the reality.There will be many middle men involved legally as well as illegally.There will be many many indian government officials also involved in money making both here and in india.Its going to become a huge racket after some time and ultimately the scandal would be leaked out.Mock Enquiry's would be held and some scapegoat would be axed and punished but what these poor cleaners would go through would be hardly anybody's concern.They would end up getting 30-40kd. Don't spread rumours. I know one company paying KD 140 to female cleaners and the gave accomodation to them.All are from India and all of them working in school.They are getting govt holodays also.

Existing companies in Kuwait, have difficulty paying 30KD salary on time for their employees. I think the figure 1, is a mistake, or printing mistake. instaed of typing 40Kd, they have misprinted it 140KD

I wish they give KD140/- salary. Its just a dream, which will never come true. When they hire Bengali Cleaners, they promise to give them Kd.60/- After paying for Recruitment Agent almost Kd.800 including the Ticket. When they come to Kuwait they recieve salary KD.18/- Then he have to clean the office, toilet, parking Area, serve and prepare tea,coffee and wash the car for the office employees. So what you expect this poor guy to do. He need to send money to his family. So people are forcing him to do crime or ilegal activities. Same will hapen with Indians in Future. We will have the same impression in the Middle East very soon. You will see females walking around in Salmiya area and Old Arab man will be picking them for KD5/-

This is really really a worrisome issue. our government should not allow the agencies to recruit our Indian women as cleaners especially in the middle east. This act will further degrade the value of Indians who are living here..This issue should be discussed in Indian Diaspora to stop recruitng women as cleaners. There is no need for Indians to come to middle east for low salary.

If the ministry is taking the cleaners directly ,they will get this 140kd salary.But in between there is another manpower supply company ,really these poor chaps will get 40 kd or less than 40 kd because as you know these cleaners will not make troubles as bengali workers do.Let our goverment machinery be able to clarify and aware the aftermath before these gulf dreamers land in kuwait.

I work in an MNC where the cleaners force was 30 and all Bangladeshi and we had really a very very hard time in getting work done.

Since last year we changed the contractor and the new contractor is providing Indians, Napalis and Srilankan and they are very good at work and hard working since than we had no issues with any cleaning issue and the site was sparkling.

I wish The Gov keeps the proper Salary clause and hire Indians workers.

It's a good news that the Cleaners is going to be recruited from India with a salary of KD.140/- and accommodation for female. But before and after recruitment Indian Embassy has to ensure that the cleaners are getting this full salary without any deduction. also to avoid taking huge recruitment service charges from people who recruited, which will be a burden for candidates.

Exactly right . The 140 will become 40 after reaching here in Kuwait. Then always like slave of Kuwaitis. Looks them like a low class employee who born to be a slave. Our embassy should act here to change the attitude towards our citizens. We are not slaves. Why they are bringing people from India for cleaning? They can't get any other nationality for this jobs. This will degrade the value of the indians here. They bring them here and pay 40 KD salary + 12 hours duty with out any off. I know many people working in Kuwait at present in University and hospital as cleaners and suffering. Indian Embessy should act now before they reach to Kuwait. They can insist the salary should send to embessy and they can distribute the salary to the employees or make sure they are working in a good condition getting their salaries.

It is good Salary per month for Cleaners, now we have to see how much the company will deduct salary for Residence and Health insurance deductions. Indian Embassy Kuwait have to close monitor that the full salary is gone in the employee account and that the employee have the ATM Card and not the sponsor.

If get 140kd salary is better. But When reach in kuwait that become 40KD.

Their advertisment was there in malayalam newspaper last month. salary mentioned was 140 and they had to send their CV directly to Kuwait embassy.

That KD 140 is going to become KD 40 and once they arrive in Kuwait.

It is a vey good news that Indians will be getting more opportunities here. Think about the pathetic conditions of cleaners here and the crowded lanes of these people. If the sponsor will keep his word regarding the salary and accommodation of the employee after they reach here, it is good. Also it is very important the security of females here.
