The universities giving distance program which is internationally accredited and
under the Govt. supervision body like UGC/AICTE/HRD /DEC etc. that degree/diploma
is valid....the UGC website is the best site where the list of approved universities can be found. Working class people cannot afford private university fees in Kuwait, or they cannot go outside and study. Only alternative is to select approved university courses and obtain a degree. I think the ministry mentioned about their national students, and not about the expats. Even in India a lot of working class people are doing distance education if they cannot go to the university and study this is the only option for them. The student has to decide whether to take up the course or not. In the end it is approved so if you are so concerned about the DE then it is your wish

Why do govt. give permission to Institution for private study in Kuwait? If it is not recognized.
lot of working class people are studying here in Kuwait. Spending lot of money and time. Some of them even completed the degrees. I also heard that distance study is not recognized, if you need to immigrate on working class.

For working class people it is very difficult to go to universities here in Kuwait. Private universities like AUK, ACK etc is charging a lot with this money we can go outside and study, i think what the ministry mentioned is about local national students, they dont want to study they just want the degree easy way out. all the university outside the country can offer distance learning...i have 2 of my friends studying with the University of Liverpool they charge very high price and in the end they get the degree and it is approved only kuwait govt is like this. it is up to you if you want to study and move out of this country then good..as long as the university is approved and internationally recognized then no problem...you can go ahead and do the course.

Here there are no local universities that cater to need of the expats, If it is there then the syllabus will be different and the fee will be too high. A person seeking gradution will be mostly under graduate so his earning will be limited and he cannot enroll here & in this he looks for the universities in India and joins them through a agency here and he pays a lot of fees almost 4times of that in India. for example the kuwait education society and tandem they charge very huge fee their logic is if they go india for exam they will spend the same amount of money for air ticket + exam fees + go home witth gifts + applying leave here. If this is the ministry decision then those institutes will be closed???
