International Yoga Day 2019 will be celebrated at Gurukul, Salmiya on Friday, 21st June 2019 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM.

Yoga Presentation, Yoga Demonstration, An Inspiring Testimonial, Meditation & Breathing Techniques and Deep Relaxation Techniques are some of the highlights of the program organised by Gurukul.

Program will be conducted by Shashikala Pushkarna. Popularly known in Kuwait as 'Yoga Acharya', Shashikala has more than 30 years of experience in Yoga.

For the past five years, the International Day of Yoga is celebrated annually on June 21 to raise global awareness about the benefits of the ancient Indian practice. On December 11, 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 as ‘International Day of Yoga’, months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi had proposed the idea.
