PACI to issue Civil ID card in evening hours also during Ramadan

Wednesday, May 22, 2019

The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has announced it will facilitate the issuance of new Civil ID cards after breaking the fast.

The same sources said, PACI receives holders of old IDs in the morning from 10 am to 5 pm and from 9:00 pm to 12:00 pm.

The sources stressed PACI has taken this step to avoid overcrowding at the ID issuing machines in the morning.

Update:Starting from 26th May, PACI Civil ID collection time is from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm from Sunday to Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, Civil ID collection is from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Hi: My passport name has only the first name and last name.

My new civil id printed has the first name, TWO INITIALS, and last name. (The spellings of my first name and last name is correct). The initials are taken from my father''s name (first letter of the first name and first letter of the last name). In my Old Civil Id, I used to have my First name, my Fathers First name and Last Name, and my Last name. My passport number is correct in my Civil Id.

In all the news they highlight that our name in civil id should match the passport name. Kindly let me know whether I need to approach PACI to remove the additional initials in my name or its fine. Mainly I don''t want to face any issues while I am traveling. Can anyone advise?

@ Bajrangi Bhai. Kuwait has already passed the new update to all airports in the world. Whether smaller or bigger doesn''t matter. Think wisely with your small brain.
