Ramadan timings for various institutions and facilities

All of Kuwait shifts to a shorter working day and turns its focus towards prayer and contemplation during the holy month of Ramadan, here is the list of the opening and closing timings of various institutions and facilities to help you better adapt to the altered schedules.

Most public institutions operate between 10 am and 2:30 pm.. Most of the banks in Kuwait are operational between 10 am and 1:30 pm.

Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) opens from 10:00 am till 2:30 pm. Collection of Civil ID during Ramadan time can be done between 1:30 pm and 6:00 pm.

Working hours of General Traffic department will be from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm. Technical Car inspection section for vehicle renewal will work form 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm during Ramadan.

Vehicle Inspection Companies will operate from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm and 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm during the Holy month of Ramadan.

The residency Department at all six governorates will be working from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm during Ramadan. The evening shifts at Farwaniya and Capitol Governorate will be working from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Stores in shopping malls across Kuwait generally keep to 10 am to 4 pm and 8 pm to 1 am working hours and it is not uncommon to find restaurants that open their doors after Iftar to stay open until 2 am.

All local co-ops should be open from 9 am until midnight, except for those that are open 24x7. Most Lulu Hypermarket branches are open from 9 am to 2 or 3 am, the Sultan Center branches that are not operational 24/7, start at 6 am and close after midnight. City Centre will be open from 8 am to 1 am.

The retail shops in Al Kout Mall will be working from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and 8:30 pm to 1:30 pm while restaurants are opening from 6:00 pm to 1:30 am

No changes in the working hours of the Indian Embassy in Kuwait during Ramadan. Indian Embassy will keep to its regular timings of 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Update:Starting from 26th May, PACI Civil ID collection time is from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm from Sunday to Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, Civil ID collection is from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm
