Tax on expat remittance put on hold

The parliament has excluded the bill on taxing expat remittances from its agenda for the current parliamentary term ending in June. This was reported by Kuwait Times newspaper. According to report, the government’s strong rejection reflects the opinion of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Make Tax on whom sends more than 400-500 kd monthly basis or a huge ammount at single time. Avoid poor expats. Be some humanitarian.

The world is not fool anymore. If they are gonna apply tax on remittance basically your encouraging illegal transaction which is hawala system. already many of my friends do. GOOD LUCK kuwait!

Excellent move by the Kuwait government. They have realized that if implemented there will many unaccounted money which will be going out of the country thru'' other illegal channels.
