Kuwait road repair works started

Authorities started its plan for rearing the Kuwait roads, starting from King Fahd Road. The works begun from the distance between the first and second ringing road on King Fahd Road towards the Kuwait City.

The second phase of the road repair project also will start simultaneously on the Sixth Ring Road in few days, authorities informed.

As part of the repair work, authorities informed that some of the roads will be partially closed, one lane at a time, from 6 pm till 6 am on weekdays and from midnight till noon on weekends. The department explained that the roads involved in the maintenance plan include King Fahd Expressway (from the First Ring Road till Bayan Palace), First Ring Road, Fourth Ring Road, Sixth Ring Road and Doha Spur Motorway. The department urged all motorists to cooperate and respect traffic regulations during the closure.

Last November, Kuwait witnessed unprecedented heavy rainfalls that damaged many roads and facilities around the country.
