Kuwait generates 1 kg trash per person a day

Kuwait Municipality statistics revealed the amount of garbage received by landfills reached 2.5 million tons during 2017/2018. The stats showed that individual output is nearby 1.6 kg per day, including 1 kg of residential trash, which had the largest percentage of solid rubbish at 65 percent, with farming waste at 18 percent and commercial waste at 17 percent.

There are three landfills in Kuwait - in Jahra, Mina Abdullah and south of the Seventh Ring Road.

Statistics also showed that Hawally governorate produces the largest amount of trash, followed by the Capital and Farwaniya.

Rich people generate more garbage. Poor''s living in area like Jaleeb/Hasawi hardly generate 100 gm a day.
